Monticello Middle School opens its doors daily to a vibrant community of almost 1,000 students spanning grades 6 through 8. Our commitment to the essence of a true middle school experience is unwavering, as we wholeheartedly embrace and embody the core principles and practices of middle school education.

I am very proud of our school, the great people who work here and   the students of this middle school.Hi, I am entering my 21st year as the Principal of MMS. I am very proud of our school, the great people who work here and   the students of this middle school. Students and staff alike continue to come each day to this school with good attitudes   and are ready to work. A safe and welcoming school is key for us here at Monticello Middle School. We strive for student  achievement and maximum educational gain. However, those priorities are not our only goals. We want each child to  experience success and feel connected at school. We focus on relationships and many character traits during our students'  middle  years. We are motivated to keep getting better as a school and as a district. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this school and truly believe our middle  school is an exceptional one!

We are proud to offer a wide variety of activities and athletics that challenge and showcase   our students outside of the classroom. We work hard to build relationships with our students and promote a safe,   welcoming atmosphere in our school. However, we are most proud of the work that has taken place inside the classroom.   Staff and students are both encouraged to push themselves beyond their comfort zone (without fear of failure). They work   collectively toward reaching their goals, appreciating the journey, and achieving success. We believe that our MMS staf are   fantastic educators and even better people.
